Logistically Challenging Concrete
What types of concrete jobs are logistically challenging?
Interior buildout modifications done to upper floors of a high rise building often involve either infilling existing floor openings with concrete or creating new concrete openings for stairs, mechanical, etc. The need for additional space in these buildings may involve adding mezzanine composite deck levels between floors.
New or modified mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in these buildings will often require the following:
- Concrete pads to support equipment
- Encasing with concrete elevated electrical conduit runs
- Patching slab cuts for underground pipe runs
How does the concrete get from here to there?
Is any special equipment used?
In this instance, it’s not so much about what equipment is used as it is about how the equipment is used. Our team has extensive experience on these types of jobs and we’ve done it all. Trust Raffin Construction to come up with the most efficient and cost-effective way to lay your concrete, no matter what challenges arise.
